Cork Opera House

Although this isn’t a dedicated music venue Cork Opera House still plays host to a number of big-name artists and bands every year and 2022 is no exception. In fact, it’s a big deal because international stars can now travel to and perform in this venue again after a 2-year hiatus.

Located just off Emmett Place (near the Christy Ring Bridge), Cork Opera House has a 1,000-seat capacity. The Dean is a 12-minute walk from this venue – go straight up Merchant’s Quay and it’s right there.

Live at The Marquee

Situated on Marquee Road, Ballintemple Cork, “Live At The Marquee” also makes a triumphant return after a 2-year absence with a string of international and national talent, ranging from The Pet Shop Boys to Christy Moore.

This venue is roughly 2.5kms from The Dean Cork, which means a short walk or a very short taxi ride to get there.

Cyprus Avenue

This is one of the more offbeat music venues in Cork, featuring a wide range of alternative music talent from all over the world.  What you are guaranteed is that you’ll always find something truly unique happening there.

You’ll find Cyprus Avenue tucked away on Caroline Street, right across from the Olive Plunkett Bar – it’s about a 15-minute walk from The Dean, Cork.

Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Páirc Uí Chaoimh, for those of you not from the Rebel County, is the home of GAA in Cork. It’s also an amazing venue for music gigs having hosted everyone from Michael Jackson to Ed Sheeran over the years.

With a capacity of 45,000 people Páirc Uí Chaoimh is located 3km from The Dean Cork, so it’s well within walking distance. Or grab a taxi if you want to save the wear and tear on your legs.

Where to stay for Cork gigs

And don’t forget The Dean Cork is centrally located, quirky, and your ideal base of operations for a weekend filled with gig-related fun and shenanigans.

Our rooms have stocked mini Smeg fridges, big screen smart TVs, and lots of snacks to munch on. Or you can upgrade your experience to one of our luxury suites in Cork city.

Book your room(s) at the same time you book your gig tickets.

You won’t regret it.
