How can I use my Dean Group Gift Card?

Accepted Answer

All valid Gift Cards must be presented upon arrival at the hotel / restaurant / bar. For all hotel stays, Gift Cards can only be redeemable upon check-in. Press Up Gift Vouchers purchased after 4 March 2024 are not valid in the hotel.

Where can I use the Dean Group Gift Card?

The gift card can be used for goods and services at Dean Group venues across Ireland, including hotels (The Dean Dublin, The Dean Cork, The Dean Galway, The Leinster, The Mayson, The Devlin, The Clarence, Glasson Lakehouse) and restaurants (Sophie’s Restaurant – Dublin, Cork and Galway; Elephant & Castle at The Mayson; Elephant & Castle at The Dean Galway; Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant; Jean-Georges Restaurant; Ryleigh’s Restaurant; Roberta’s Restaurant; Tomahawk Steakhouse).

What type of card is the Dean Group Gift Card?

Accepted Answer

The Dean Group Gift Card is a prepaid card in euro (€). It’s not a debit or credit card and does not link to a bank account. Money must be loaded onto it at the time of purchase.

Are there any places where the Dean Group Gift Card is not accepted?

Accepted Answer

The Gift Card is not valid at Cleaver East (located in The Clarence) or Elephant & Castle locations outside The Mayson and The Dean Galway. The Gift Cards are not valid at Jean-Georges Restaurants outside of Ireland.

Can I get change back if I don’t use the full amount on my gift card?

Accepted Answer

No change will be given, but any remaining balance will stay on the gift card for future purchases.

Can I use my gift card for multiple transactions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the gift card can be used as often as you’d like, provided there is sufficient balance. It can also be used alongside other payment methods and can be topped up online.

I purchased a gift card online, but my recipient has not received it.

Accepted Answer

Check spam or promotions folders as email providers may filter e-gift cards or receipts. In limited cases an email firewall may prevent delivery. If needed, email info@thedeanhotels.com with your order details (recipient name, recipient email address, voucher value) and the team will reissue.

What is the expiration date of the gift card?

Accepted Answer

Dean Group Gift Cards are valid for five years from the date of purchase. Any unused balance will expire and be forfeited after that time.

How do I check my gift card balance?

You can check your gift card balance, register, or top up your gift card online on the websites.

Question 10

What is the minimum amount I can load onto a gift card?

Accepted Answer

The minimum load value for a Dean Group Gift Card is €10.

Can the gift card be replaced if it’s lost or stolen?

Accepted Answer

Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced or refunded. Treat your gift card like cash. If you register your gift card online, your balance can be protected and moved onto a new card—email info@thedeanhotels.com with details.

Is it possible to refund or exchange the gift card for cash?

Accepted Answer

No, gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Purchases of gift cards can be refunded within 14 days, after which they become non-refundable.

What happens if my gift card is damaged or altered?

Accepted Answer

Gift cards that have been altered or damaged in any way will not be accepted at Dean Group venues.

I purchased a physical gift card but have not received it in the post.

Accepted Answer

The Dean Group uses An Post for distribution of gift cards purchased online. Postal delays are common during busy periods, so allow an extra few days for delivery.

Can I get a refund if I accidentally purchased a gift card for the wrong person?

Accepted Answer

Refunds can only be made within 14 days of purchase. After that period, gift cards become non-refundable. If you have entered incorrect details, email info@thedeanhotels.com with details.

Are there any circumstances in which my gift card might be suspended?

Accepted Answer

In cases of suspected fraud or improper use, The Dean Group reserves the right to suspend or cancel a gift card without notice.

Can I use a Press Up Gift card at The Dean Group properties?

Accepted Answer

Press Up Gift cards purchased after 5 March 2024 cannot be used in The Dean Group properties listed on the page. Press Up Gift cards purchased prior to 5 March 2024 can still be redeemed at these locations if not expired (excluding The Leinster, The Collin’s Club and the Jean-Georges Restaurant).
