We first opened our doors in 2014 on Harcourt Street, then mostly known for its nightclubs.
We had neon over reception, rooms with Smeg fridges and Marshall amps. Sophie's opened on the roof and became the place where Dublin weather and wood-fired pizza learned to get along.
Dublin was just the beginning. A few years later, we brought that same energy down south to Cork.
2020 was perhaps an unusual year for opening a hotel, but Cork certainly showed up with its own spark. Sophie's roared to life on the roof, DIME started pouring great coffee, and we welcomed those who gravitated in, curious about the new place on Horgan's Quay.
And so, April 2022 brought us to Galway, to a building with old stone in its bones and new ideas in every corner. Peig's Bar was a place where traditional met modern, and not just in music. Sophie's looked out over the city from three terraces that always seemed to capture that gorgeous Galway light.
Here, the art collection grew to over 450 works from artists across Ireland. Galway brought its own creative soul, and we were lucky to tap into it.
In 2026, we're bringing fresh energy to new cities, still with easy warmth and offbeat charm, just with a few more stamps on the passport.
We're landing first in Charlottenburg, the softer side of Berlin, where leafy streets are filled with independent galleries, and there's culture on every corner. After comes Munich, another city we're so excited to meet... keep your eye out for early looks at what we have planned. It's going to be so great.
