Aug 27, 2026

Seven questions with Harvey Ambomo, global DJ, Editor-At-Large and events maestro following his recent set and stay at The Dean Berlin.

In a sentence, describe yourself.

I'm an epicurean and a nomadic traveler.

How do you feel about Berlin as a city?

In my mind, Berlin remains a creative city in terms of culture (music, art, design, photography and so on). Last time I went to Berlin was almost a decade ago during the golden age of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

What did you enjoy about The Dean Berlin?

Literally everything, from the very minimalistic & sustainable interior design of the room to the selection of paintings and installations throughout the hotel, and the warm welcome from the whole team. It felt like home since I spoke to the receptionist

What did you enjoy about Charlottenburg?

I was seduced by the cozy, chill, and artsy vibe of the area. That's definitely the perfect location for The Dean.

What’s a track / playlist that sums up your time with us in Berlin?

Well, I would say I have four tracks that sum up my time at The Dean Berlin:

- The Blessed Madonna : Stay

- Nathan Fake : The sky was pink (James Holden Remix)

- Kim Carnes : Bette Davis eyes

- Rufus Wainright : Tiergarten ( Supermayer remix)

If you can only give us one tip for Berlin, what is it…

Don't miss the brunch at Benedict (The Dean Berlin); it's a one-of-a-kind experience.

Gilal, Dror, Georgios and the whole team will give you an unforgettable warm welcome and ensure you leave with a deep smile.

And finally, where are your favourite places to chill?

The Dean Berlin, Contemporary Fine Arts, and Tiergarten.
